Becoming more Sustainable
To become more sustainable, we need to reduce carbon emissions drastically. 13% of carbon emissions are from transportation. So to reduce carbon emissions by up to 13%, we need to use a carbon emission free kind of transport. An example of its kind of transport is a Tesla Model S or a Tesla Roadster. 72% of Americans drive less than 40 miles (64km) a day and 95% of Americans drive less than 100 miles (160km) a day. Both the Tesla Model S and the Tesla Roadster can drive up to 300 miles (480km) on a single charge. This means that 95% of Americans would be able to drive their normal day - only carbon emission free. It would also save money because it would cost $US20,727 in fuel to drive 120,000 miles (192,000km) where as it would only cost $US3,736 in electricity to drive the same distance. This would save a person $US16,991 and it would also mean that you are helping contribute to reducing global carbon emissions.
